Learning Outcomes and Application This unit describes the skills and knowledge to identify, implement and monitor a reengineering process to achieve a sustainability improvement of a process or product family. This includes the identification of the process for reengineering, the development of the sustainability objectives of the reengineering project, establishment of project objectives, implementation and evaluation. The reengineering project may involve consultations and participation by customers and suppliers in the value chain. This unit applies to production operations that have identified reengineering as a potential strategy for improving sustainability. This unit applies to a manager or technical specialist who has a major responsibility for sustainability as part of a broader work role, or sustainability may be their primary work responsibility. The manager or technical specialist may undertake this alone or as part of a team.No licensing or certification requirements exist at the time of publication. (add new lines for each of the assessment tasks)

Assessment Tasks

Copy and paste from the following data to produce each assessment task. Write these in plain English and spell out how, when and where the task is to be carried out, under what conditions, and what resources are needed. Include guidelines about how well the candidate has to perform a task for it to be judged satisfactory.
Copy and paste from the following performance criteria to create an observation checklist for each task. When you have finished writing your assessment tool every one of these must have been addressed, preferably several times in a variety of contexts. To ensure this occurs download the assessment matrix for the unit; enter each assessment task as a column header and place check marks against each performance criteria that task addresses.
